Day 2 of BKK trip
Itinerary was to go to Chatuchak Weekend Market
(since it's the weekends right?)
Some hard liquor to induce sleep the night before
Woke up all dreamy and what not
Hungry and thirsty
And needing to find food
Shiok!
First thing you stepped out of the hotel and there was the morning market
Breakfast right outside your door
Morning crowd in Pratunam
Probably my favourite breakfast food in the whole of this trip
Condensed milk-coated prata!
This is also nice
Taste like curry puff but it's like yet another different taste
Local Thai iced tea
Wooooooo~
If you think you need a sugar rush to kick start your BKK day.......
I dont need to mention anymore really
Going local
And then looking up and saw that we have actually trekked through the tracks
Hahahaha!
Seriously
We take travelling to the next level!
Bring back the golden days with these bus/train cards
We used to have them last time too
Chatuchak Weekend Market stop
You dont need to know how to walk
You just follow the crowd
They will bring you to the right place
Probably the best thing in Chatuchak
Ice-cream!
Coconut flavoured!
It's so damn yummy
And the toppings are freeeeeeeeeeeeeee~
Hahahahaha!
Singaporean-instinct
It's really really really really really good~!
These bags are very stylo
But I think it's super duper hard to pull off these kind of look though
The streets..........totally out of control
You can never walk finish the whole damn place in just 1 day
Because there's.......TOO MANY THINGS TO SEE!
Sticky mango rice
The mango is sedap max!
And the rice......
Wah Thai street food is love!
Miss Mong's cap in Running Man!
Love max!
I couldn't pull off the look
So ya........sucks!
Didnt want to get it as I didnt look good in it
Lunch break!
The food was not so yummy as I thought it would be
But yeah, still street food
Local.......just go local all the way
Somebody can just take a knife and stab you
The range of knifes/swords/daggers and just sharp things
"Off-the-charts"
Going crazy over Birks
Streets of Chatuchak
Pottery
Pets
I think they looked like poor things rather than cute things
Oni!
Yummy!
Local boys taking their train system back to hotel in the late evening
The taxi drivers keep bargaining and all
And it was bad traffic outside Chatuchak
Doing some simple maths and adding our sums
We found out that yes we do need to walk
But oh hell it would probably be a whole lot faster to reach back our place
And for the same pricing too (probably cheaper)
Put down our stuff
Chill out for a short while
And headed to Chinatown for dinner
Was our most expensive dinner throughout this whole trip
Each person was around........$10?!
OMG!
5 dishes and beer (again?!)
Plus additional rice and a lot of seafood?
#holymamacow
Yes it's that......expensive (in BKK that is)
And we have an epic racial issue that occurred during dinner
But we were the victims
So ya, dont judge too fast
Lots of bird nest, shark fins advertisement everywhere
After the heavy dinner
Went for a walk around Chinatown
Honestly Chinatown is pure..........eating
Hahahaha!
Tried out their local Chinese dessert
Not too shabby!
(ignore beer)
Tried out bird nest too
Not too good!
Waste money I thought
But oh well, go to BKK Chinatown never eat
I thought it would even be more wasteful
This is how one of the local bird nest/shark fin stall looked like
Almost all the stalls looked the same if you're wondering
And that's that for day 2
Chatuchak zapped all of our energy
And that's why we rewarded ourselves with an awesome dinner
Followed by healthy bird nest
And sinful alcohol (yesssssssss again) back at hotel
Stay tune for day 3
Shopping day in BKK!
:)
