26th July 2011

I think my mom has waited for this day till her neck grew long

Hahahahaha!

This statement will forever be etched in Singaporeans' mind

because of the Star Awards

How Nanyang Audi looked like from the top

The respective Prof and Associates making their entrance

Then singing the National Anthem

It's ok if there isnt much people (or none at all) singing the Anthem

It's damn bad if you got people having their handphones ringing

And to think that the emcee has already mentioned that it was a serious

and solemn event and requested for everyone to switch their mobiles to silent mode

Sinkies are already poor enough at knowing when to clap

Then they cant follow simple instructions like keeping to the left

while they are taking the escalators or driving

And worst, they cant even keep their mobiles on silent mode during solemn events

Big shot

He worked there since he graduated

Now must be rolling in the big bucks

The doctors of the day

I saw them after the convo

And most of them looked......like they just studied too much

Yup, you can imagine their faces

Weathered by the years of studying

The Masters of the day

From Aerospace

Ying Qin

First from the Xinmin cohort

There were a couple of epic celebrations on stage

Especially this guy who did the "Yo whatsup brother!" handshake

with the Pro-Chancellor

Then he proceeded to wanting to have the hug with him as well

But the Pro-Chancellor didnt know how to do all these handshake

And it was awkward silence

After which loud cheers rang out in the Nanyang Audi

There was also this tall guy who whip out his digital camera from nowhere

And considering the fact that the graduation robe was like damn fluffly

How the heck he managed to pull it off is magnificent

Must be lots of practice and effort put into rehearsing for this moment

Because he just went up in 1 swift motion

Put his hand around the Pro-Chancellor

And did an epic camwhore 自拍 portrait with him

Now that's "no guts no glory" moment!

There was a 2-person guitar performance after the Aerospace degree

Followed by the mass Engine handout

Looking at these scenes bring back familiar memories

But I would die with the memories that I would never get to see

my name on stage during my Poly grad

And the fact that it's almost impossible to replicate the feat again in Uni

Seow Hong with the super loud "YEAH!!!" when he rushed forward

Jian Li with his "毕业 LO!!!"

Bro with his "MAE HUAT AH!!!"

The valedictorian

I saw her outside at the gathering area

And yup, the face complexion can be.......maybe didnt drink enough water?

=/

After that there was the graduation song

I thought was some Cheena or NTU's school song or Engine song

Then it was Vitamin C's "Graduation Friends Forever"

The funny part was when the camera pan onto the specific graduate's face

Everybody was like looking at him/her

Then he/she would give the "OH HOLY SHIT I'M ON CANDID CAMERA!"

Just.............freaking epic!

And the others would give him the "Hahahaha sucka you're caught on camera!"

Just 1x funny to the max!

So after all that

The Pro-Chancellor declared the Convocation close

And everybody just moved out to the outside for photo-taking

I think there were like more than 500+ ppl there

It's hard to find my own brother inside

Oh well

That's the only shot I got of her laughing!

Must be never strike Toto / 4D the previous days or what

She doesnt smile at all!

The twins that stayed at our house when we were young

It's just coincidental how small the world is

Even when they went Poly, they still graduated at the same time

This was EPIC!

There were supporters' card aka 支持卡!

And they contained funny and cute phrases too!

You know the best thing?

It's that my bro has found a job already

Thank Buddha for this!

If not the never-ending WWIII will just keep on carrying on at home

Who has the money gets to talk the loudest at home

Now the tide has shift

And we should be enjoying better days ahead

With him holding down a full-time job and whatnot

And me finally getting started on my last stretch of education

Yup, things look a wee bit better at home now!
