After the overly shagged day at the outskirts of Kanchanaburi
We still managed to climb out of bed at 6am+
After snoozing for a couple of times too
It wasnt supposed to be so difficult when you are on holiday
But it was that difficult as we wanted to MAX out the trip
The streets of Pratunam
Early in the morning
Waited for our yesterday's guide's mom aka Rat
She was on time too!
Her son was way too early!
Itinerary of the day was to tour the Railway Market and Floating Market
First stop: Maeklong Train Station
Had breakfast over there
Rat brought us to this local stall which served delicious noodles
And she's one funny person
The ice water were really chill
As in CHILLED until become ICE
Cant drink for nuts
After the hearty breakfast in which we tried various local noodles
We headed over to the Maeklong Railway Market
The end of the road
Holy mama cows corns!
Infested with flies
Resident Evil style
The annoying apple
Hahaha!
Prawns
Me being a noobcake say they were eels
LOL!
Corrected to be catfish
Oh well, I showed this photo to some others and they also say catfish what....
Awaiting the train's imminent arrival
As you can see the baskets of food and items are
dangerously close to the railway tracks
As they hear the horn of the train
It was like what I experience in Army
Those in Armour units should know this well
Hahaha ya their camo style is damn good!
Freaking reminiscence of what we did during trainings before
The only difference is that the locals are about 856 times faster than us
You only have like a leg space in between the stalls and the train
Any sudden movement and you're gone
The train travels faster than the one at the Death Railway
And the locals took like 3 seconds to lay out everything again
Once I snapped a photo of the back of the train
The locals have already finished laying out everything
It's as if like nothing has changed
Interesting......
What's this?
Back at the train station
And yes
A good pair of shades is a must in Bangkok
Or any where when you travel
Don't buy chiong shades
Bad for your eyes!
After this railway market visit
We went over to the Floating Market
Touristy climb of the coconut tree
After having 2nd thoughts on the ladder
Which was made up of......bamboo only
I still climbed on top of it
Using old coconuts to heat the coconut solution and all
There was free coconut drinks on offer
And the biscuits for sampling
I tell you........pure brown coconut drink is sedap!
It's like drinking brown sugar
Except with coconut taste
Awesome!
Artist at sea
The jostling crowd at the most busiest place in the river
Whatever you want
You can get
Word of advice
Whatever you want, you can find them in downtown Bangkok
For a cheaper price
Rat brought us to this place whereby you can feed fishes
It's like suddenly a pool of fish surround the boat
And you thought piranhas 3DDD were acting in front of your eyes
=x
On the way back
Under Rat's suggestion
Our boatman decided to ram up the engine
And brought us on this super high speed ride
Where the waves just crash straight into the boat
And the feeling of high-speed cruising is just damn awesome!
So after this Floating Market visit
We were quite undecided on where to go next
To watch the Cobra show or not is a big question
It's a tad too expensive on our wallets
So we felt that we could actually use the money for.....shopping?
Hahaha!
Managed to get Rat to change some currency and have some street side lunch
All the local Thais were there
Just behind this alley
It's a BUSY alley by the way
Quite ironic because we were the only Chinese there
And alleys were supposed to be desserted
But this alley probably served some of the better Thai food I have eaten there
After bidding farewell
We went to Siam Paragon and just twanged the day away
High-end shopping is not for us
Window shopping is
Sipping coffee and eating delicious cupcake
All within a SGD$5 budget
Where to find you tell me?
Earl grey tea is so becoming my love
Went back to hotel to catch some forty winks before moving out to Khao San
The so-called most packed place in Bangkok
Packed full of Caucasians that is
The bar whereby Running Man was featured!
Cool!
The pad thai at Khao San was ownage
But we really couldnt down anymore beer at the moment there
Just mix some street food around for dinner
And voila~
Settled our dinner and our stomach
Ironic~!
Hahahahaha!
Went to get some Red Bull
(the green one was tasty too!)
And there were so many different types of Red Bull
Decided to just get the original
And have some "Sang Som Bomb"
Bomb the night away as we finish the damn whisky
Weeeee~!
We sleep all day and party all night~!
Living like a rock star in Bangkok
:)
