What if?

This week is the last week of school
And the weekend before that was a long weekend
Finished with the quizzes and presentation and what not

Friday didnt have any lessons
So I went back in the late morning around 11am
I was studying the night before
And woke up and carry on to study before I packed for home
I went home
Played Battlefield 3 for like 3 hours straight
And went to Orchard for dinner with the gang
Got home late
Sleep late also

Sleeping late means waking up late
10am is bad stuff
Study a bit here and there
Attempted the whole Maths Tutorial for the whole damn day
Watch TV here and there
Play some BF3 here and there
And WTF?!
Suddenly it's time for Manchester United?!
After the soccer match
And you know what time it is

Whole cycle repeats itself for Sunday......

Monday was teaching tuition then lunch at Thomson
Same kinda cycle happened for the rest of the day

And here we are
Tuesday
Saw the doctor and got a referral letter to the hospital
(At long last.......)
Went for late tutorial
Saw my polymate in tutorial already attempting last year exam papers
Now that's.........amazing
Got back our quiz papers too

Finally right?
Finally God-damn score a 99/100 at long last
(yes you can!)
On the magical date of 1/11/11
(And " nearly " score a dinner date with a girl on that night too
Keyword is " nearly " though)
The next day was good enough!
;)

But no surprise there are also others who scored very well
Oh well
You asked around how others did
And they will make some weird sounds and then mumbled "okay......."
And yup, their results are 100/100

CBE.............right..............

Had lecture after that
And after the lesson
Saw like 20+ students chionging down to ask the lecturer questions
We were like packing
Deciding which notes we need to photocopy
What points we never copy down
How was the 9pm Channel 8?
How was BF3 and etc
And you have ppl chionging down to ask qns already
I'm not appalled
It's just that I'm not used to this level of competitiveness in CBE
This leads me to think
And first of all
To share something

A blog post from Jon Morrow
25 years old this year

Titled "20 something: Why I regret getting straight A's in college"

The 5 reasons are

1) No one has ever asked about his GPA
2) He didnt sleep
3) He has forgotten about 95% of it
4) He didnt have time for people
5) Work experience is more valuable

Now I still have ppl telling me that I'm the top male grad
during my poly days for my course

When ppl are chionging so hard in uni
Makes me feel a bit..........
That is the feeling of I'm mugging enough or what
And I thought I got study for my long weekend

Oh well
I have decided to enjoy these last few years of my education
I have already embarked on this journey
I do mug no doubt
But I take part in hall activities
Do sports
Learn muay thai and brazilian jit-jiusu
Have time for my friends
Experience new stuff
And still hope to go to a new country every year
And I'm still on course

Meeting and making new friends
Going out with the old
Learning new stuff
That is not in the textbook
Learning how to get along well, if not even better with others
Taking time out to sit down after meals and chit-chat
(not just with girls)
Just basically smelling the flowers along the way

And so I have decided
If this sem
My GPA is below 4
Then I would mug harder next sem
If my GPA is 4 or above
Then I would keep up with this chillax attitude
If my GPA is 4.5 and above
Then I would be more slack
=)

Shouldnt think too much about it
I think current situation is alright
Is it not?
