We were part of history
Singapore was the first country that the ONE Fighting Championship
brand brought its inaugural show to
Oh the sunny island of Singapura~~~
Too bad we have the biggest indoor capacity stadium in the whole
of the very South East Asia
That's why we got chosen!

We just went around taking photos and all

I only hear about it, saw it on video, and just....dreamt about it

And all the fighters representing their nation, their fight gym
their specialties, their qualifications and all entered one by one....

Yes, if you wanna draw a family tree in BJJ
(Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu)
They are the very top of the family tree
Because the Gracies started and invented the art of BJJ
And yes, meeting them in real life is like seeing the family tree

All the Evolve fighters were standing together on the other side
And after every single fighter is being introduced
The whole place darkened....
And fireworks came raining down!
Now that's spectucular!
It's like me thinking about going to WWE for so many years
And I finally got a taste of something close!

Yes, so the first fight started with Issa from Evolve
And Kim from Korea
Cautious fight between the 2 fighters......
And then.......
It explodes with lots of punches and elbows and whatnot!
And the crowd loves it and eat everything up when there's ground work
And Issa unleashed the dirtiest low-blow I have ever seen on TV
Plus it was showcased "LIVE" to 500 millions viewers worldwide
The result?
Kim scratching his balls to 500 millions viewers worldwide
E to the P to the I to the C
Oh well
He was bruised and battered after 3 rounds which went to the judges decision
Unanimous win to Issa
Good fierce fight
Traded elbows, punches and kicks which threw blood and sweat everywhere
Very good 1st round under card fight
Got the crowd all worked up!

A few matches later
It's time for our very own Sinagpore fighter to take the stage!
You know it's crazy when suddenly you notice everything around the stadium
Including words being flashed all over the place
Saying it's our very own FIRST SINGAPORE PRO MMA FIGHTER!!!
Making his debut right at ONE FC!!!
And being the hometown boy
It's always great to hear the home crowd cheering for him
3/4 of the stadium stood up to applause for Radeem Rahman!
And the announcer just work his magic by encouraging the crowd too!
Touch gloves before the fight
And everything went amok after that......
Radeem, as xinmsn put it, " just plowed through his opponent! "
(I like the last photo, managed to capture it in full detail!)
I'm quite sure Radeem beat up the opponent so bad
that he couldnt even remember his mother's name at that point in time
Just look at the amount of blood he bled!
As Radeem full mount his opponent, it was ground and pound all the way
Blood just start sputtering out
And Xavy even asked if that was real at that point
LOL!
I feel sorry for the opponent
Because Radeem was totally destroying him in the process
At one point in time, the opponent was struggling to stand up
As he stood up, he just rolled around
Totally struggling to stay alive inside the Octagon
The crowd smelt blood and everybody just stood up
Calling out for "KNOCKOUT KNOCKOUT!!!"
While shouting out Radeem's name
And so he fulfill the crowd's wishes and earned the "KO of the Night!"
A cool USD$5000 bonus was awarded to him too!
Like a nice!
A debut with a win bonus
Showcasing to the world that we have our very own Champion in the making!
Next fight was Eddie Ng vs ATK
(ah tiong kia)
Hahaha!
Surprisingly ATK was good!
He managed to try to armbar Eddie
And landed 2 solid blows to Eddie's head
But after that......
Eddie absorbed the 2 blows
Then all hell broke loose!!!
Bam bam bam bam bam!
5 shots to the face!
And it's all over!
Referee came in to put an end to it before someone died

Next up was Gregor Gracie vs Kim(again!?)

Posing an MMA record of 5 wins with ALL SUBMISSION VICTORIES!
This was the match whereby we were looking for the submission win
Damn were we stunned or what?
Kim had great submission defence
Even though Gregor had times in which he was full mounted on Kim
He didnt managed to get the full submission locked on
And for that
It was kinda disapointing
But the whole world got to see how good Kim was
The stamina he possessed to escape from Gregor was amazing
Got the whole crowd impressed with his determination and skills
What an eye-opener!
Next up the co-main event for the night!
Phil Baroni the self-proclaimed "New York Bad Ass"
The abs are for washing clothes arent they?
And the shades
Whatsup with the shades?
Cool or what?
Both UFC fighters before this
It was something to look forward to
With Phil possessing what people called "1-punch knockout power"
Everybody was looking at a 1st-round KO
Oh the pecs!
But his opponent Yoshida was a smart fighter
Slowly but surely wearing down Phil
And making him slow in his punches
Of cuz, avoiding an all out slug fest in which he confirmed would have lost
At the end of 3 rounds
Phil walked out a loser
And the whole crowd boo-ed him because he didnt want to shake hands
And felt that his opponent's way of fighting wasn't right
True it wasnt of high entertainment value
But it was definitely a veteran fight
And Phil pointed the middle finger to the crowd
Hahaha!
Oh lest I forgot
One match which got the crowd all worked up was this....
Mitch "The Dragon" Chilson Vs. Eric "The Natural" Kelly
Being the last Evolve fighter
Everyone has their eyes on Mitch
And damn they should!
Check out those 2 ladies there
They are mature ladies BEHAVING LIKE YOUNG LITTLE GIRLS
when Mitch walked out from the tunnel
They ran up and just snapped their iPhones / cameras non-stop
Being the most handsome fighter does have its perks hur!
As the poster boy of ONE FC somemore
Being a former model
And with killer chiselled face and looks
Not forgetting being a 2x MCFC champion
Yes, Mitch was definitely the one girls would die for
Filled with 100% confidence
Riding on his winning streak
Yes, Mitch was no doubt the favourite in this match
And yes, the abs were.........delicious!
Makes me wanna train hard too!
Hahahaha!
Somebody just stop pushing Western food to me please!

And yes, he lost badly
Because he lost to Eric
With a rear-naked choke so perfectly executed it won "Submission of the Night"
A USD$5k bonus again!
For the last match
Eduard Folayang with his wushu-based martial arts background
He was great!
The takedowns and the striking techniques
Hard kicks hard punches
His opponent was just too pussy
Engaging in defence all the time
Damn we pay good money to see this!
Eduard had a cut so deep I think you could put a 50cents coin inside
=.=
And yes, he bled so bad that the doctors nearly couldnt stop it
But he went back inside and just fought on
True fighter!
And lots of blood was coming down all the time
In the 3rd round, he finally managed to cut his opponent
And damn did he bleed too!
From the nose and mouth somemore!
Double combo!
The "Fight of the Night" went to this match and it was quite good!
Tough win for Eduard though
We took a photo with Ole "Iron Fist" Laursen and Ray Elbe
Ole is the one on the RHS
And his fist was way bigger than a Red Bull can
(the longer version one)
Yup, no joke!
The next potential UFC fighter ok?
And Ray is a TUF veteran!
Both of them were damn cool with taking photos
Ole should have highlighted this main event
But got a ill-timed injury to his knee though
The usher auntie was the champion though
She stopped both of them from coming up
And I mean they CAME UP to take photos with us
Instead of us going down
The usher auntie was like trying to unlock the gate
While Ole and Ray could have just climb over easily
Being so big-sized and all
They were like 2 times of me seriously!
All in all
Just a great night for Singapore fight scene
And an enjoyable night for all 3 of us
And 12,000 other MMA fans!
